# Feature: Implementation of Dedicated Contact Section

Purpose

Currently, the AOSSIE website lacks a centralized location for users, researchers, and potential contributors to find contact information. Centralizing this data improves the User Experience (UX) and provides a professional gateway for organizational inquiries.

Proposed Changes

I propose adding a new /contact route and a corresponding section in the navigation menu.

1. UI/UX Design

The page should follow the existing AOSSIE minimalist aesthetic:

• Hero Header: A brief "Get in Touch" greeting using the primary purple gradient.
• Communication Cards: - Discord: Direct invite link for community support.
  • Email: A mailto link for formal/administrative queries.
  • GitHub: Link to the Org profile for technical issues.
• Contact Form: A clean, responsive form built with Tailwind CSS.

2. Technical Stack

• Framework: Next.js (Pages or App router as per current repo structure).
• Styling: Tailwind CSS (utilizing existing theme variables).

Task List

• Create /pages/contact.js (or /app/contact/page.tsx).
• Update Navbar and Footer components to include the new link.
• Ensure Mobile responsiveness and Dark/Light mode compatibility.

Contribution

• I would like to work on this issue. - Please assign it to me if the proposal meets the organization's standards.

Hi @mi-vaishnavi, I’ve already completed the implementation for this task.
A new /contact route has been added with a minimalist UI aligned to the existing AOSSIE design, including communication cards (Discord, Email, GitHub) and a responsive contact form built with Tailwind CSS.
The solution is non-intrusive and does not affect existing routes, navigation behavior, or styling.
Happy to make refinements if any feedback or adjustments are needed.
Please let me know if I should go ahead and raise a PR for this change.

Thanks for your enthusiasm! As I mentioned earlier, I am leading the implementation of this route as per my proposal. I’ve completed the core logic, including routing, layout (with the footer properly anchored), and expanded social links.

@DC-CAPTAIN, since you’ve already worked on a version, please hold off on raising a PR for now. I will be submitting mine.

@aneeshabhadoriya24, once my PR is live, your help with CSS/UI refinements and accessibility audits would be very welcome. That’s a perfect way for us to collaborate effectively.
