Disable back button when a connection is being attempted

When the user clicks on a device and attempts to connect, the loading controller is presented (spinning wheel saying "connecting to device..."), with the config options in the background - when this is going on, disable the back button. else it goes back to the home page and the loading controller is still spinning.
