retag questions based on other tags?

Oftentimes, in the Python tag ecosystem, a question will be tagged with something like [python-2.7], [python-3.x], [python-3.4], or whatever, possibly with other tags, but not with the "base" [python] tag. Since many people just watch the [python] tag, I often retag these questions to include [python] to increase visibility. Would it be possible (it may be already, I haven't read through the whole source yet, and my JS is a bit rusty) to find questions that are tagged with one or more of a certain group of tags, and have another tag added automatically if it's not already present?

@matt actually we did plan out a feature like this to help with tag burnination, but it would've achieved your purpose fairly well if we added custom action support.

Unfortunately, we never got around to developing the rather ambitious feature set associated with this.

If others seem willing to develop that neat feature set (it requires a small, minimal GUI anchored to the bottom corner of the page), I'm willing to help. The interface is already designed.

I'm not sure we need a GUI for this specifically, but that still might be a nice feature to add. Tag manipulation on its own is pretty simple (I already have a few burnination scripts that do that), and we can certainly add that.
