Peerd functionality on EKS

We are just getting started with peerd, and are trying to set it up on EKS. The pods are up and Running without any errors in the logs, and are throwing the P2PConnected event. However, they don't seem to be caching the images, or serving as a proxy.

1. Is peerd supposed to work on kubernetes clusters other than AKS?
2. If so, is there a bug, or anything that I'm missing to make it work? (please find the pod logs below):
