Hey all - just a heads up that this is absolutely the kind of thing that I have pretty extensive experience, and also a great network in BIDS and the D-Lab. Also, @ProximaDas has been using Bokeh, which might be a good fit for your project also.

Also - I'd highly encourage putting data files into a shared folder and keeping a link to that folder in the repo! If they aren't too big (<10MB), you can also just commit them as example files in the repo.
