Installation to external storage

Hi, I installed berrymuch on my phone at one point in the past, and noticed it takes up quite a large percentage of the internal storage, so ended up removing it. I think this is a matter of course for some phone models with scarce internal storage.

I know that you can't run an executable residing in exfat-formatted external storage, but what if you use qnx6fs filesystem to format your externalsd? While I'm not sure if we have enough permissions to run it, there seems to be an 'mkqnx6fs' executable on your bb10 os phone by default. And coincidentally you can get a free personal license for QNX SDP at BlackBerry nowadays, so one can definitely format one's external storage in qnx6fs if it turns out beneficial.

Hi @mouisets73 , thanks to point this out.
Indeed the standard berrymuch distribution is too big, with some not so usefull stuff.
A "lite" release might appear in the future, with stripped down binaries and only the most usefull stuff.
Also, distributing a pre-formated qnx6fs image of an sdcard is worth considering.
Any help regarding these options will be highly appreciated, by the way (we accept pr :))

Hi, to follow up on this. I have downloaded QNX and got the free license (for non commercial use). Very easy to obtain.

From there, I hope being able to format a qnx6fs sdcard, so that we first check if bb10 allows 'exec' mount option for such media.

If yes, it will open the door more wonderful options and very fast performance.
