Installer fails on macOS 13.3.1 M1

The current installer fails on my M1 MacBook Air running macOS 13.3.1.

I've tried downloading older versions to no avail. Nothing happens when opening http://127.0.0.1:8178/ thus I do not believe the BitBoxBridge has been successfully installed.

I've tried also Ctrl+Open'ing the .pkg file to ensure it bypasses the security checks. I have signed developers as enabled in my System Settings. No luck.

Any thoughts? Is the installer genuinely bugged for macOS?

I was able to fix the issue by disabling SIP: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/security/disabling_and_enabling_system_integrity_protection#3599244

This is definitely not a user-friendly arrangement for macOS users.

I'd like to suggest the next release v1.5.2+ to be performed with a signature using an Apple Certificate thereby eliminating this extra, multi-step process.

That's strange - we signed and notarized the bridge. Disabling SIP should not be necessary.

@thisconnect @jstrnbrg could you check if it installs correctly for you with SIP enabled?

Tried the installation just now on my M1 Mac Mini running macOS 12 and it worked perfectly with SIP enabled. My M1 MacBook Air running macOS 13 however required SIP to be disabled. I don't have a third Mac on which to test.
