Bug: failed to add netcdf data to datatree after calling 'cat.to_datatree' #270

Describe the bug
certain data is present in the cat.esmcat.df but the according netcdf is not added to the datatree when calling cat.to_datatree.
Expected behavior
The netcdf data to be added to the datatree (under coordinates and datavariables). If this didn't work i would expect an error (preferably with the reason).
