Hi Anthony,

I saw you built 5.4 for el8. Can you push this on a branch here so we can also build it for el6 and el7? 4.9 is getting old for recent hardware.

Hi Karl,
I've pushed the branch wip.5.4-el8 with the things I've done to build 5.4 and to build it on el8. It won't build as is on el6 or el7, but at least it is a starting point. Also I would probably force push the branch and delete later when it's all done.
(I've taken inspiration of the CentOS kernel package for some of the changes.)
