Description
Some things like the deployer block face toward you on placement, but other blocks like the one-way tube face a differen't (weird and unexplained?) direction when placed. I'll need to figure out the exacts, but off the top of my head, I think we should:
- Pick a direction for everything or nearly everything. Like whatever makes sense. My thought is it should be either toward or away from the player's camera direction only. Something feels weird about it coming from playing Minecraft mostly, and I think that might be what it is. Like maybe in Luanti they factor in or prioritize player coordinates. I don't know what it is, but something's off and needlessly difficult or limited about it.
- AFIs don't orientate vertically when placed, even if standing well above where you place them, facing downward with the camera. It makes sense to have them orientate vertically depending on it since that has a real functional use for it.
- As mentioned, some things like the one-way basic tubes start perpendicular. And thoes guys also have the problem about only starting horizontally-oriented.
That's all I can remember right now. I'll update you guys if I find or remember something else.
