Description
Describe the bug
Scrolling is choppy. We need to generate a large image then move it across the display in order to simulate the scroll effect. We need to pre-render the image and then move it across the display. Ideally we would decouple the scroll speed from the frame rate. Previously had 200+ fps scrolling that was too heavy on the rpi 3b+ so I limited the display fps to 120 - which we used to easily hit for stock manager, stock news. As I've added more scrolling managers the fps has gotten worse. I am currently in the 30s on my rpi 3b+ and it is causing noticeable jitter.
Expected behavior
I'd like to get 120fps scrolling and be able to manually set a speed for the scrolling. 1 pixel per draw to ensure it is smooth but not 1 pixel per second. I have previously achieved and hope to regain : buttery smooth, high-frame rate, clear scrolling of text and images.
Additional context
I can't figure out a repeatable method to this.
