  • Upon pressing the escape key, all events in the game should stop, including music, and the game should accept no input beyond what is necessary for the pause menu, only resuming when the player hits the escape key again.
  • The pause menu should be a box, containing only an option to return to the start menu. The method by which this selection is chosen is up to the implementer.
