Consider 2 button start screen?

It would be nice to have the start screen be two big buttons with large text where users could start by looking for people or activities. Currently, we don't have this functionality.

If we decide to go with this, I think we just need to change the default screen for the app and then use two buttons with column layout eluded to by this:
