Upgrade to Drupal 11

Drupal:

• upgrade to the latest Drupal 10
• replace or remove deprecated modules
• make sure that custom code and themes are drupal 11 compatible
• make sure that contrib modules are drupal 11 compatible
• upgrade Drupal core

@miromichalicka @martincollar I just tried to update at least to D10. There is a lot of deprecated modules and other problems. What do you think about clean installation and data migration?

If you have any experience with that new improved migration from drupal to drupal, then it's definitely something worth trying. however there is still a lot of content that won't be supported just by core and I think you can get into quite some rabbithole trying to figure out if everything is working as expected. I'll leave the final decision up to you - in the end, the goal is clear - Drupal.cz runs on D11 core.

@michaelur1 sounds like the way. We need to anylise what needs to be migrated and how and discuss what to do with design/theme..

We can discuss this in more detail. My thinking is that we should avoid carrying over technical debt or bugs from past updates. Instead, we could build a clean new installation based on the existing structure and theme. So, lets think about it and also about the effort..
