Add size (not dimension) constraints to CAT...

Have a look at geteduroam/android-app#151

It appears that some of the CAT members are using huge logos (or huge files), so the profile files bloat unnecessarily. If CAT can potentially look at limiting (in bytes) the logo size, or downsample/downsize an uploaded file to the maximum size, then issues of oversized logos turning what should be a couple of KB into something a MB in size can be avoided? :-)

CAT does resize logos for Windows installers and there is nothing against doing the same for Android. Actually we have been discussing this with geteduroam people, but somehow dod not get finalized.

I was thinking more on the ingest side, i.e. when you upload the PNG/JPG/BMP/TIFF, reduce the upload before it ends up in the database. :-)

The upload can be limited as well, of course, however for the moment it is what we have in the database. For Windows installers the logos are resized anyway, the same is true for the DiscoJuice discovery service. I have just implemented this also for eap-config i.e. geteduroam. As the example - the largest logo we have, currently generates an eap-config of size 2.8MB, after the scaling it is 37kB. Both appear to look the same in geteduroam.
Still I plan to take a look at the upload filtering as well (not just size also the file format).
