Create a standalone build

As a developer on Glimpse.Client I want to be able to build the client side project.

This involves taking the following into account:

• New developer should be able to clone this repo and not need any other utilities downloaded (i.e. the repo has all it needs to build the client)
• Other build systems should be able to trigger the client build to occur
• Client build should be able to handle the inlining and minification of HTML/CSS/SVG content
• Be able to conduct a one click build
• Take into account the order in which files need to be built/merged
• Be able to produce more than one output file (i.e. have multiple targets - _build.js, _build_plugins.js, etc)

Ideally, we would also have the following:

• Minified output produced alongside the built file
• Be able to trigger tests to run
• JsLint report produced (try to improve code quality over time)
• Source map produced

I'm going to suggest that Node.js be used as the build facility. I'm not 100% convinced that everything should be checked into your repository (node.exe, npm, the modules, etc) as that feels like you're taking excessive weight. Does the .NET client contain msbuild/nuget packages/etc to build it? I think it'd be fair to follow the same build requirements here.

Anyway for build one of the most popular build systems is Grunt which is really nice and flexible and it already has plugins that handle what is required:

• Minification and Source Maps via UglifyJS
• File combination via Concat
• JSHint
• Inline replacement via Regex this would be needed for the inline replacement of CSS/HTML such as in glimpse.render.js
• Jasmine test runner

I use it on db.js and it also does some remote testing which can be dropped in here

Happy to go with Grunt/Node.js here. Once we have the build working, we just need to have the instructions for how people can get up and running.

Still using the ManualBuild tool in the Glimpse\Glimpse project.

Not sure what you mean by it "has started with"... do you mean that commit has the fix for that?

Oh, I get it, you mean work on this issue has started with that commit... I thought you mean that whitespace issue started with that commit.
