having issues with quests

so i drag and drop a quest file on the exe to decompile it and it dose nothing the file size dosnt change at all and the quest editor program wont recognize the file meaning it wasnt decompressed ive tried using the program multiple ways through the cmd promt and using the cd command to get to the location of refrontier then use the refrontier command followed by the file name it says done like it worked but nothing changes i tried draging the file on the exe file itself it shows done but nothing changes there then i opened the exe file and drag and dropped the file on the cmd pop up still nothing changes is there anything im doing wrong plz help

Are you using FrontierTextHandler – this repo, in a Python project – or ReFrontier – C#, with a .exe –?

Since you are mentioning a .exe, I think you are using ReFrontier. It does not work with quest files.

Use FrontierTextHandler instead, it has support for quest files, see the quest files section.
