select fails to select from 2nd layout when two are loaded in same panel

select upper half of the chip and delete the selection.

This only deletes references/geometry of the first layout, not the second one.
Repeating the select/delete sequence is needed to delete the references/geometry of the second layout.

"select by area" should select references/geometry in both layout's.

Problem solved. It was only for instances and there was an internal limit of 10000 instances, intended for avoiding too-deep searches in point mode (hovering mouse). That limits should not be active for bounded selections.
