Will the DDP module ever get official

As the title says: Will the DDP module ever get official?

I have used this component to mitigate the esphome e1.31 module issue, see here: esphome/esphome#14088
And its working really good.

I have read in the readme that it will maybe get official.

Is there a status update?

Socket doesn't work on esp8266 so I just gave up on it. Someone just did a PR rewrite so maybe I'll try it again.

@bkaufx I am running your component on 3x esp8266 on esphome 2025.11.3 without an issue!
