Hello
I have an older Android 8.1 device that can only use 50/50 split-screen mode (sliding the split line exits split-screen mode).
When I saw FreeSplitScreen, I was overjoyed and immediately installed it on my device. However, after several restarts, there's been no change.
What should I do?
Another question: Can this module lock a specific split-screen ratio, such as 30/70?

Hi, i have only tested this module on android 13 and 15. It should work on every android version since the feature was introduced in aosp in 2020 so probably android 11: https://android.googlesource.com/platform/frameworks/base/+/8a9cb1d383259767f3a45a9699cdcabba4a2cad8

But only setting config_dockedStackDividerSnapMode to 1 with docked_stack_divider_fixed_ratio to 30% should enable 3 positions at 30%,50%,70%. See: https://android.googlesource.com/platform/frameworks/base/+/HEAD/core/res/res/values/config.xml#4372

You can try to build this module using the included Makefile after editing https://github.com/Lucaber/FreeSplitScreen/blob/master/overlay/res/values/config.xml and https://github.com/Lucaber/FreeSplitScreen/blob/master/overlay/res/values-land/config.xml

Which device and rom are you using?
I quickly build an overlay with with following options for you to test:

<resources>
    <integer name="config_dockedStackDividerSnapMode">1</integer>
    <fraction name="docked_stack_divider_fixed_ratio">30.0%</fraction>
    <dimen name="default_minimal_size_resizable_task">10dp</dimen>
</resources>

This wont enable a free split mode, but might allow you to place the divider at 30%,50% and 70%.

I tested the new freesplitscreen.zip, but there were no changes.
the system files for these devices may have been modified. I extracted DividerView.smali from SystemUI.apk.
