Downgrade iPad Air 1 to iOS 7 - Tethered or Untethered? #916

The downgrade would unfortunately have to be tethered, and the only tool I know that can easily achieve this is Semaphorin. However, it’s also quite unstable after the downgrade. On iOS 7, all main functions work but some issues remain:
I believe these issues stem from how Semaphorin downgrades devices and therefore is unable to downgrade the SEP to the chosen version. This prevents SEP from working, as iOS 12’s SEP is not compatible with iOS 7, resulting in most functions like sleep and passcode being completely broken. I hope in the future we’ll see a tethered or even untethered downgrade capable of restoring SEP functionality. Until then, this is our best option, and it’s still a great effort by the developer. Hello Legacy iOS Kit community,
I am interested in downgrading my iPad Air 1 to iOS 7 so I can test performance and compatibility with older applications and games such as Angry Birds and OK K.O.! Lakewood Plaza Turbo. Before purchasing a MacBook, I would like to clarify whether the downgrade process for this device is tethered or untethered.
If the downgrade is tethered, I understand that a computer connection is required for each reboot, which means I would need macOS or Linux to proceed.
If the downgrade is untethered, the device would boot independently, making the process much easier to manage.
Could anyone confirm the downgrade type for iPad Air 1 and share any guidance or resources to prepare for this process?
Thank you for your assistance.
