Dear All,
We are pleased to announce the first release of the Simulation Systems repositories on GitHub. This release includes,
All repositories1 have also been tagged with
2025.12.1🎉As previously announced, updated working practices for developing in git are available at https://metoffice.github.io/simulation-systems/. Please have a look through these before beginning a development. 📄 Advice on migrating branches from fcm to git is included. Please also work through the section on verifying commits.
All repositories are currently available to internal members of the Met Office GitHub organisation. Repositories that can be made public will have their visibility changed early in the new year. In the meantime we can add external users individually to repositories where access is required. Please contact the SSD team for this.
Please feel free to ask any questions you have, either on these discussions or directly to the SSD team. For Met Office colleagues, Simulation IT will also have a presence at the ongoing GitHub Surgeries (next available is on 📅 Wednesday 17th, 10am-4pm BST). Partners and collaborators are most welcome to attend these surgeries. For joining instruction please visit Science Git Migration Project Comms Site.
Thank you for your continued support and collaboration.
