Question about installing environment

Hello, I am trying to install benchmark packages but failed. The error happens at this step: conda env create --name xb --file=xenium_benchmarking.yml

This is the error message, one of the dependencies cannot be found:
PackagesNotFoundError: The following packages are not available from current channels:

• _libgcc_mutex==0.1=main

Could you help resolve this error?

I'm not with the team, but I was also stuck on this problem for a wee while, so hopefully my answer helps you or someone else. You probably have a new Mac with M1,2... chip. _libgcc_mutex doesn't have an osx-arm64 build (which is the M chip build) anywhere on conda, that's why this fails. Have a look on the anaconda website here, there's no osx-arm64 file. My advice is to start building your own environment.yml from scratch. The authors also included build identifiers in the .yml which is not very helpful when you work on a different system as these are system specific. Best of luck!
