Description
From the recently released trajectories, it appears that only claude-sonnet-4-5 generates new tools, as evidenced by the presence of created_tools.json and created_tool_embeddings.json in each issue folder.
In contrast, trajectories produced by GPT-5 (and GPT-5-mini) do not seem to contain any newly created tools.
Could you clarify why tool creation currently occurs only for Claude? Specifically:
- Is this difference due to model capabilities, configuration choices, or the current experimental setup?
- If GPT-5 does not create tools, does that mean it is effectively operating as a mini-agent without the “live” tool-creation feature enabled?
Any clarification on the intended design and current limitations would be very helpful.
