automatic mask generation (amg.py) supported?

im wondering if the automatic mask generation script is supposed to be working or not.
i couldnt get it to work on my end unfortunately but i wanted to confirm with the author if it is indeed a working script.

what i mean by not working is that the code runs fine without any errors, but the mask output is nothing. all values are 0
