Linux/Wine/Proton Support

I'm not sure how much work it would take to get this to work, but I was wondering if there were any plans to support Linux/Wine. Games past Blood Money run perfectly on Linux through Proton or Wine, so it would be nice to be able to run this tracker through it.

I understand this may be quite difficult given the nature of Statman, if I can help out at all by testing or providing what I know I'd love to. I'm unsure how much work would need to be done, whether this is as simple as just getting the right command line options in steam or actually altering how the program functions in order to allow for this.

After installing .NET Framework 4.8 using winetricks dotnet48, Statman works flawlessly standalone.

Then I installed .NET Framework 4.8 into Blood Money's Proton prefix with WINEPREFIX=/home/user/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/6860/pfx/ winetricks dotnet48

To run it together with Blood Money, I used the following launch option:
PROTON_REMOTE_DEBUG_CMD="/home/user/Downloads/Statman_1.4.0.0/Statman.exe" %command%. This is a nice way of launching an arbitrary exe, like Cheat Engine or Statman, together with any game on Steam.

But, I get the following error in the Proton Logs:

25997.240:0130:0134:err:module:fixup_imports_ilonly mscoree.dll not found, IL-only binary L"Statman.exe" cannot be loaded
25997.240:0130:0134:err:module:loader_init Importing dlls for L"D:\\user\\Downloads\\Statman_1.4.0.0\\Statman.exe" failed, status c0000135

I probably did something wrong installing .NET Framework 4.8. Mabe you want to give this a try @mechanicalground @Cwavs

I figured out how to run it. First I installed dotnet48 to the prefix using protontricks with winetricks-next, Then i ran Statman with protonhax and it worked almost flawlessly, The right click menu for statman is pitch black but still functions. I use arch btw @Cwavs @astra1dev Let me know if this works on your machines.

Hi both, sorry for the late reply. I'll reinstall blood money when I get chance and give these a shot! I'm on nobara so a little different so my confirmation hopefully will mean something.

Sounds good. just remember to sudo winetricks --self-update for winetricks-next because winetricks-stable has an issue with proton's wineserver. Let me know if you have any issues

i tried again today and it now doesnt work at all for some reason when statman launched, the game went pitch black and statman crashed idk what could be causing this because i dont have the logs for statman
