When running the example 01, everything works correctly but the final logged message is an error (from what I understand from here is normal and expected) that does not make it super obvious that everything is OK.

Silencing this logger so that the first run ever of a prefect flow does not seem like a crash may be a good idea.

Agree here. I came here to figure out why it wasn't working, only to realize it probably was, but exits ungracefully out of the box.

Here's challenge for the Prefect team: try following your own documentation occasionally in a fresh environment. Ask yourselves, is this a good experience for users you're trying to convince to use your product?

Another workaround , set the magic PREFECT_API_URL environment variable to the point to your server, e.g.:

export PREFECT_API_URL=http://localhost:4200/api

This should also probably be mentioned in the quickstart docs, since otherwise Prefect launches a one-off server directly in the example instead of using the one you launched earlier.
