Using metaobject references in blocks?

Very excited about the developer preview for theme blocks.

I have a use case that's been giving me headaches for a while now, and I was hoping this could be solved natively using the new theme blocks: FAQs with categories using metaobjects.

I usually create two metaobject types for FAQs: a FAQ Category and FAQ Questions. The FAQ Category has one field, which is a list reference to the metaobject FAQ Questions. Pages get a metafield with a list reference to the metaobject FAQ Category.

I was hoping I could create a group in the theme editor, which references the FAQ Category, and inside the group, I would be able to add a collapsible row with the question and answer from the FAQ Question.

Is this a feature I am overlooking, or something that is being considered?

We have not released any features yet to support dynamic sources like metafields/metaobject yet. This is a functionality on the roadmap and we are currently working on it
