Can't set timers

Home Assistant should recognize Glassist as a device with a speaker that can set timers.

Current behaviour is that it just answers that timers cannot be set on this device.

Hi, i'm afraid Glassist was never designed that way ;) It's not Alexa, it doesn't have timers functionality. More, Glassist is not capable of creating any entities in HA in this moment,

We can mark this issue as feature request if you want ;)

that sounds great as a feature request. I am currently playing around with https://github.com/mricharz/linux-voice-assistant
, because it is easy enough to install in windows power shell. It natively supports conversation mode with Home Assistant, which is not supported by GLaSSIST. But using the audio from GLaSSIST for speech to text is so much better and I am wondering how you did it. I think if conversation mode and timer are supported GLaSSIST could become the go to for running voice assistants on windows.

Whoa, thanks for the link. It's very iteresting aproach, i did not knew that way. I will definitely code it into GLaSSIST, i think you can be the reason of GLaSSIST v3.0 ;) It will take some time tho, but weekend will be definitely productive :D

Glad to be of help, I just saw that https://github.com/mricharz/linux-voice-assistant also supports LEDs and timer functionality. If you need someone to test the new build of GLaSSIST let me know.

Also, and that could be a different Issue, whenever I use GLaSSIST the audio from the response will cut off before the actual end of the response and I could not find a way to fix it. Therefore conversations also never worked for me when using GLaSSIST.

I can also send you how I installed https://github.com/mricharz/linux-voice-assistant on my windows PC if you need it.
