Should the strat div have filler text?

The strat <div> will be modified by JQuery, but when the page loads, should the <div> have some filler text?

<div id="strat"></div>

This is what it is right now. It can be modified by JQuery or by hand to be this

<div id="strat">Press a button to find a strat!</div>

or

$(document).ready(function () {
$("#strat").text("Press a button to find a strat!");
});
