Feature Request: Span Drive Status

We know that the Span Drive reports data back to the Span app, and even allows control of charging station sessions.

Is there any road map to add it to this integration? We have power draw from the Span Drive unit (since it's installed through a regular breaker), but it is connected to the panel via RS485.

SPAN doesn't have an open published API and the existing 00200 32 Tab panels are the only known products that work with the undocumented OpenAPI. Newer panels have not added support for this undocumented API.

This walled garden approach is unfortunate since we (via Home Assistant) could provide energy coordination and automation beyond SPAN's partnership so perhaps open an issue with SPAN as others have done to motivate them. Other products like Emporia do provide API's including to their chargers. The open products are the systems that tend to win the most customers (OpenAPI, Matter, etc).

With regards to the SPAN drive charger I don't have one so I couldn't test with it (I have Emporia). I've looked through the existing SPAN API and I don't see any SPAN Drive or charger information exposed. One could theoretically tap into the RS485 like some integrations do with Home Assistant inverters but those integrations use an ESP32 hardware block as an endpoint not as a bridge. The right way is for SPAN to provide an API to the panel that includes those chargers so until they do this integration has no means for support.
