Wizardry 0.11.1 ignores the Version Checker setting

Wizardry for 1.12.2, mod version 0.11.1 ignores the version checker setting defined in the config file.

# If enabled, will inform you of new updates to the mod.
# Default: true
B:version_checker_enabled=false

Whether or not you set it to false, it still checks for the latest version, as shown in the log.

[Wizardry Version Checker Thread/ERROR] [wizardry]: New version found! -> 0.11.1

Considering the age of this mod and it not getting updated, the check on itself is unnessecary, for modpacks as well.
I was testing the modpack Enigmatica 2 and encountered this issue.
