Linking device feature broken since a couple of weeks now

Using Telegram desktop on Linux and on Android, trying to link back my desktop version fails.

I can scan the QR code with my Android application. When exiting and reopening I am asked if I was the one initiating this handshake. Answering yes does not sync/login the desktop application yet I do have a message from Telegram on Android saying that it notified a new login attempt from my desktop.

This last worked in June.

Linux client was installed via FlatPak
Androind client was installed via www.telegram.org

Over 1 year later, this problem is still ongoing.
