Rear Power Distribution

Need to learn about the arduino/ CANduino interface and ensure that the rear power distribution PCB is correct.

Need to add more debugging LEDs or just a better layout with labels on the PCB (i.e engine fan, wheel sensors, etc.).

Need to correct the PCB footprints for a few components

(1) Correct the footprint on the Transistors q-16 and q-29.
(2) Look up the d2 diode to find an appropriate replacement that has a larger footprint.
(3) Verify that all outputs are giving the correct voltage to components and that fuses are correctly rated. ( same task as Front power distribution )

Required Changes for the 2018/2019 Board:
Research

• Research into whether we can compact the fusing by using one fuse for multiple components if they are not expected to draw much current (maybe use inline fusing) (check rules to confirm)
• Spec out all sensors we want to have on the car so that we have power sources for all of them

Fixes

• Replace LEDs with more robust option, also maybe look into how to ensure that if they fail that they fail the way we want them to (probably depends on the circuit whether we want them to fail short or open)
• fix the fuel pump flyback diode to a larger diode (1206 packaging)
• directional capacitors need directional footprints (on 12-5 DC to DC circuit)
• check the packaging for the ceramic resonators, it wasn't quite the right size
• maintain a similar layout with the circuits divided into labelled boxes
• use logic level MOSFET where possible (check how much current we are drawing for that)
• the spare circuit needs its own box
• capacitors need to be closer to their respective parts, some of them were too far away (i.e from the 5V linear regulator on the controller)
• one of the fuses wasn't connected to an output pin
• The AMS status and IMD status LEDs didn't have output pins
• Increase the size of all power trace widths
• move signal traces further away from all power traces
• Add a header for Rx / Tx
• Use the new CANduino set up with USB programming using RS232 conversion rather than ATTiny
• Remove all outputs from Rx/ Tx and move them to different IO pins
• Consider using both sides of the board for components and not just traces
• Confirm with system level diagram before finalizing fusing naming
• Connect AVCC to 5V analog (separate from 5V by a ferrite bead)

lets make into 1 board because I think cost is less important than reliability and easy test accessibility. Unless you can think of a better way of running down to the bottom board that can handle more current than the headers we have (maybe a larger pitch?) but that still doesn't really solve the issue of possible board fracture if we are pulling them apart frequently

oh! Also, ground plane needs to connect in more spots so that we don't have any possible islands or ground loops

make sure the switch in the reset circuit is connected and that the series resistances were removed
