Underlying WAU installation set to not update

Hi.

What's the reasoning that the underlying WAU isn't set to autoupdate? The app is hardcoded to be included in the exclude apps list.
Current version in this intune tool is 1.21.13, newest version of WAU 2.2.0

Same here. Where did you see that this is currently hardcoded? Because I also did not manually add it to the list

Its in the "excluded_apps.txt" in %programdata%\Winget-AutoUpdate-Configurator
But the blacklist policy "Application List" does not contain this, so I assumed it was intended, hence my question.

WAU is patched by WAUaaS to the version WAUaaS currently supports (which is 1.x at this point). This is why this entry gets created. However the next release will contain version 2.8.0.
