@Weatherlights I noticed this when the employees boote the device and brought the following message to my attention. |

It is correct that this version of WAUaaS uninstalls WAU since it bundles now both applications in one installer and there is no extra entry in programs anymore. The Invisible.vbs is a legacy bootstrapper used by WAU (never WAUaaS since it was based on its own bootstrapper). This stuff indicates that WAU was installed "out of band". If you use WAUaaS you should not deploy WAU manually. The fix for this is however very simple: Just check the task scheduler for any leftover tasks in the WAU folder that triggers the invisible.vbs and delete them. Is this message only showing on one machine or multiple? |

I can confirm this is showing for multiple machines for me too, deployed from Microsoft Store. |

And just to be as clear as possible @Weatherlights, the entry in Task Scheduler causing this: Task Scheduler Library > WAU > Winget-AutoUpdate-UserContext |

Further update, this entry, along with other entries, do get removed after waiting a bit. It's now gone from my PC and apps are updating as they should... at least on one PC. I can still export those if it still helps though. |

Using the one you shared; Manual check now successfully updates 7-Zip, previously did not. Still testing on restart. |

Wonderfull I will do some more testing and then I hand this over to the Microsoft Store. Thanks a bunch for the help :). If you have the capacity: I also created a preview channel a few days ago in the Microsoft store so I can avoid that this stuff happens in wild. |

No worries, and very good idea about the preview, it's in my interest too that this works as it should as I have it deployed to over 200 production workstations :) |

Hello all, I have only seen the error message with invisible.vbs on two workstations so far. I'll now check the others workstations. In the meantime @Weatherlights thanks for providing further updates of this nice application! |

I have removed that feature now and you should deactivate the policy. There is no further need for it anyhow since the new architecture does not need this feature to create/remove shortcuts. But that was mainly responsible for that stuff. |

Yes 1.07.0014 is fresh this is why, give the clients a little. It was just released some moments ago... and contains a function that will speed up the first sync so the message will not show anymore. 1.07.0018 will be the final version that is currently in certification containing the patch that will fix the RefreshOnReinstall issue. |

@Weatherlights All affected devices have the latest version 1.07.0018 installed, but even today, after another restarts, I see no entries in the updates.log on all of these devices. |

Please check the updates.log under the following location C:\Program Files\Winget-Autoupdate-aaS\Winget-AutoUpdate\logs. Does ist exist? |

oh ok that makes sense, the updates.log entries are from the latest restart. |

Yea I thought so... :) That is where WAU stores them now. WAUaaS always copies them to c:\windows\temp\ for log collecting. But I guess now everything should be back up and running? :) |
