Bugfixes and minor Improvements

[Weatherlights]

This is a hotfix adressing the following issues:

• Bugfix: Removed ReinstallOnRefresh feature since it is not needed anylonger and resulted in broken installations. This fix will also repair broken installations.
• Bugfix: Adjusted eventlog trigger for the configuration synchronisation.
• Improvement: Configuration sync will now also be triggered if the device is on battery
• Improvement: Testing FluentUI Icons

The ADMX is also updated:

• Removed the ReinstallOnRefresh policy. You do not need to update your existing imports just ignore the policy.

Hey :) The app is available in the store as always and the update is already certified.

The Update should be executed within the next 6-12 hours. Today Microsoft is somehow lighting fast with their certifications. Usually I have to wait at least 1-2 days.

I never heard that preprovisioning causes any issues so far but I have to admit that I have not tried the app in this scenario myself. But if you want to be on the safe side you can skip using the Microsoft Store and just deploy the MSI as a LoB app. This way you can control everything. But theMicrosoft Store app is should not be needed for servicing since the updates/installations are handled by the Intune Management Extension.

Hmmm I see clearly that the app is still working (I see a lot of traffic from the Azure Storage account and in my testing environment it still deploys fine). However I noticed that some devices take longer time to update... I have the feeling there is a mechanism in the Microsoft Store that delays the update/installation process if another update has just been applied.

However you can check the %PROGRAMDATA%\Microsoft\IntuneManagementExtension\Logs\AppWorkload.log for the ID XP89BSK82W9J28. What version is currently installed on machines and do they fail to install on freshly installed machines?

You can also try to search for the app by using the command winget show "XP89BSK82W9J28" and winget update "XP89BSK82W9J28" to see if it updates.

If I understand my client correctly it has likely something to do with the GRSManager. This module is intended to reschedule app enforcements so they are not executed every time.
