Live / hot reload

Hey,

Just wanted to say this is an awesome little project; it's well-organised at achieves what it sets out to do. I'll be taking inspiration from it to build something with Shadow DOM + Vue / Vuex.

Just looking at your build setup, it's great to see you've attempted live/hot reload, but it doesn't seem to work:

• any text in the rendered view doesn't update
• there's a "Disconnected from background script" notice from the store enhancer when the page is updated and reloads
• you get errors in the main page if you click any links which attempt to push messages

I've been trying to get some kind of live reload working in my first extension project (it seems in modern web dev that this should all just work) but with no luck.

Have you had any further experience in / thoughts on this?
