Modify player written text only

Is there a way to modify streamote to just modify player written text instead of everything that appears on chat?

Yes please, sometimes it gets annoying that streamotes modify advancement texts or anything else.

Funnily enough, this is the exact opposite of request #11

Nooo its not the exact opposite, since I also think streamotes on signs would be cool, just that replacing the advancement texts seems too much, since sometimes I wanna know whats the full name of the advancement i just got.

Thinking about this more, I can imagine server owners wanting to leverage emotes in other places than chat, like custom server messages, custom advancements, etc.

Adjusting the included channel sources to not use common words might be an option, otherwise #37 could also work for you
