Description
Describe the Bug
I was previously using Rig Listener and it works perfectly by following my frequency, showing when I PTT from the radio and PTTing when using the button in OHC
I was told Rig Listener is being deprecated and to use Rig Bridge. I've configured it using CI-V via a COM port and using HamLib TCP. Both have the same issue. Both properly follow my frequency and mode correctly but neither of them will show when my PTT is activated nor will PTT from OHC actually PTT the radio.
To Reproduce
I can switch back and forth between Rig Listener and Rig Bridge by closing one and opening the other to see he functionality issue I've described above.
I have also confirmed by telneting into my HamLib via port 4532 and sending 't' that I can see the PTT status change from 0 to 1 when I key the radio so I know that my radio is sending PTT status properly
Expected Behavior
I would expect to be able to see the status of my PTT and be able to PTT when using Rig Bridge just like I could when using Rig Listener
- OS: Windows 11 Pro
- Browser: Duck Duck Go
- Node.js Version: v24.13.1
- OpenHamClock Version: All tested since Rig Bridge was released up to latest v15.6.5
- Running As: Running OHC on Windows 11 using Node
Console Errors
None. In the Rig Bridge setup web page and when testing using CI-V with COM port the test button works with no errors. I see nothing showing up in the cmd window that is running Rig Bridge beyond the initial messages, saying it's connected via whichever method I was testing and then showing the frequency and mode changes scroll by
Additional Context
KK7PZE
Rig: IC-705
Method for connectivity 1: Radio Type: Icom (IC-7300, IC-7610, IC-9700, IC-705, etc), Serial Port: COM16, Baud Rate: 115200, STOP Bits: 1, [ ] Hardware flow (RTS/CTS), CI-V Address: 0xA4, Poll Interval: 1000, [X] Enable PTT --- This is the same configuration settings I used with Rig Listener that fully function for PTT set and get
Method for connectivity 2: Radio Type: Rigctld / Hamlib (TCP), Host: 127.0.0.1, Port: 4532, Poll: 1000, [X] Enable PTT --- I have WRL CAT Control running which supports hamlib commands as I proved with telnet to 127.0.0.1:4532 and issuing commands like f, m, t to read frequency, mode and PTT status and I've testing F, M and P to actually set frequency, mode and PTT. I've done many others as I've written applications to control my radio using this method.
