Subtitles get out of sync after break

Describe the bug
Start an episode and turn on subtitles. It runs ok first ~15-20 min until the first break. Then the subtitles run out of sync.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Start episode Kijken en kijken kijken episode 4 https://www.play.tv/video/kijken-en-kijken-kijken/kijken-en-kijken-kijken-s1/kijken-en-kijken-kijken-s1-aflevering-4
2. Enable subtitle 2 t888, observe it subtitles correctly all dutch dialogue.
3. It runs ok until 16:12, then it jumps somewhere further in the episode and becomes useless.

Expected behavior
Subtitles should stay in sync

System

• Addon version: play 0.6.0
• Kodi version: Android official 21.2
• Inputstream adaptive version: 21.5.17
• Operating System (Windows / Mac OS / Android / LibreElec / OSMC / ...): Google tv

I’ve noticed the same with De Slimste Mens. The subs seem to stop working after the commercial break. Coincidence?

This is fixed in the master branch. Please test.

Quickly tested with resuming episode (after first break) which was broken yesterday and turning back on subs and look like it works! 🥳

Just double checked with episode I initially reported it on (kijken en kijken kijken episode 4 16:12) . It has some AS adventure ad inserted now there, again goes out of sync. So, looks like fix is not complete, but already better.

I implemented delayed subtitles based on ad cues:

I installed that version, cleared the cache, restart kodi. Started playback of kijken en kijken kijken episode 4. Fast forward to 16:05 (sub correct). No ad inserted now. As of 16:11 it went out of sync, it subtitles "we streven op dezelfde dag", which is different from what is said on screen.

This issue still remains for me. Anyone else still experiencing this?
