Reference Implementation: MyZenWallet

We should study this and break it down into steps so that we can design our own implementation around these new insights.

Unlocking the Hierarchical Deterministic (HD) Wallet

1. UnlockWallet takes your human readable phrase, and converts it into a bunch of private keys.
2. Then it sets the private keys in the parent by using the prop setPrivateKeys.
3. In the parent, after this key is set, a method handleUnlockPrivateKeys is called in order to generate a public key from that private key, and then set that into the publicAddresses state.

Then this state change will trigger the WalletTabs component to show (i.e. unlock the wallet).

After Unlocking: Wallet Tabs

Info Tab (default)

Shows all 43 of the user's addresses

1. In render, the publicAddresses prop is iterated over. An array of key value pairs addresses is created with properties: publicKey, privateKeyWIF, confirmedBalance, and unconfirmedBalance. The key is the address The total confirmed/unconfirmed balance across the addresses is summed and displayed

2. The addresses array is displayed in a ReactTable. The address attribute is made a link to the blockchain explorer through getAddressBlockExplorerURL. The confirmed/unconfirmed balance attributes are displayed as well

misc: updateAddressesInfo can be called to force refresh the address info

Send ZEN Tab

1. Show all of the available 'From' addresses (dropdown list)

• sendAddresses populated from all prop.publicAddresses. Creates an array of a mapping where the key is the address and the value is a concatenation of the confirmedBalance + address

2. Input field for 'To' address. Sets the state variable recipientAddress

3. Input field for Amount. Sets the state variable amount

4. Input field for Fee. Sets the state variable fee

5. Button to initiate sending, calls handleSendZen

• get request on previous transaction ex: "https://explorer.zensystem.io/insight-api-zen/addr/znSDvF9nA5VCdse5HbEKmsoNbjCbsEA3VAH/utxo"
  • This gets you the UTXO, the total being the usable amount in the 'from' address
• within response, get infoURL ex: https://explorer.zensystem.io/insight-api-zen/status?q=getInfo
  • This gets you the block data
• within response, get blockHashURL ex: https://explorer.zensystem.io/insight-api-zen/block-index/210621
  • This gets you the blockhash, needed later when creating the transactionObject ex: 00000000aab01e3cad5edb025e88f26f27cb0c5dfb42e16b2317643ae9a543c0
• history array is created by concatenating txid vout and scriptPubKey of each UTXO
• createRawTx from zencashjs called to create txObj
  • following this, a for loop signs each history transaction with signTx
• post request called with the transaction and txid of the response is set in state
