Unable to get StatusThing working

I am trying to get StatusThing to work on OS 10.13, but I cannot successfully make it through the setup process. The first time I tried to setup the app, this is what happened to me: http://ca.mag.cm/3n1w1X3D2t0Y

This setup problem occurs with v2.0.0 as well as v2.0.1.
