Twitter API changes

Hiya,

The Facebook App stopped working a while ago and I was wondering whether this has to do anything with the fact that Twitter deprecated this API call http://search.twitter.com/search?q= in favour of this one https://api.twitter.com/1.1/search/tweets.json?q=?

What do you think?
