Look into 'specialized display' as possibility #8

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/display/specialized-monitors says specialised displays are not part of the normal desktop, which would be perfect for this application. Would only work if this option could be toggled programmatically, which isn't documented anywhere. Might be worth checking if this can be done via registry?
