ActiveMQ Adaptor test hang

CI build with Jenkins hangs at the start of the ActiveMQ Adaptor module test. Jenkins job only completes if skipTest=true is set.

Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS, Jenkins 1.535, Maven 3.1.1, OpenJDK 6b27-1.12.6-1ubuntu0.10.04.2

The same module completes testing if mvn is run directly

Try adding the following property, as our Hudson job does...

jms.broker.local.persistence.dir=target/jms

If I remember correctly, this is due to permissions issue with the default persisent dir (i.e. not being able to create it)...

That does the trick. Replaced the skipTest=true on the Goal and Options field with the jms setting above, and the job is successful.

Should this be put in the readme, or included in the src or pom?

We will consider changing the persistence default for the embedded broker to nonpersistent. Regardless, we will need to create documentation for each module. Doug has been working on a manual, of which parts could be translated to our online docs... Documentation is a work in progress.

I retried the Jenkins job this morning, and it appears to be hanging again. I didn't change the job config, but had upgraded to a newer Jenkins last time I ran aptitude.

After reviewing the code, I found the following is now the Goals and options value that allows Jenkins to run without hanging:

-Dorg.carewebframework.activemq.broker.local.persistence.dir=target/jms install
