Is it expected?

It's not expected, no. I've just run the testsuite from master, on OS X 10.9.2, and it passes.

You do have to run it as root, though, since OS X doesn't grant use of DTrace to non-root users, and the testsuite invokes dtrace(1) to check that libusdt is working.

@chrisa I did: sudo make test. Also, it seems to be working fine if I test it manually. Perhaps a perl script problem?

Strange, that's the same as I did. Here's what I see:
