AVIF images do not appear #820

Describe the bug
AVIF images just appear blank from other users.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Install the flatpak version as described on the homepage.
Join a chatroom.
Attempt to view avif image file posted by another user.
blank image appears.
Expected behavior
The image should appear.
Screenshots
Nothing to see, just a large black gap on black.
