Doesn't do anything

Makes no difference to tab appearance, no changes to any settings make any difference. As a result, doesn't allow for sorting tabs with similarly-named files based on their filename.

Installed plugin, restarted Intellij, saw no changes. Is there an option to enable/disable this functionality? Couldn't see one in the settings.

These tabs should have additional directory information, and should be sorted the other way round (I'm using the sort by filename feature in Intellij):

try to enable "Use per project configuration" and add at least a folder with your project in.

There is now a fork of this addon at https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/24528-tabdir-redux , should be approved in 2 days. The repo is at https://github.com/vlascik/Tabdir.

I also added an option to use Regex replacements on tab titles and "empty path replacement" for situations where folder shortening ends up in an empty string.

Users will have to uninstall this version before installing a new one.
