Tags not working

Hello, I did a `serverless deploy --stage prod` and then did a `git tag` and I do not see anything. I also did a `git push --tags` afterward and didn't see any tags being pushed up to my remote branch. Is there something I'm missing?

It is installed in my package.json and I have listed `serverless-version-tracker` under my plugins in serverless.yml.
